THE NO-CAN-SEE SCRAMBLER (C)
THE HELP-ME DOCUMENT
This information was prepared for those individuals who, for
whatever the reason, got into serious difficulty while using
The Scrambler. We, at Computer Specialties, certainly hope
that these few simple instructions will help you through this
time of stress.
Unless you were just curious, you are reading this document
because you have tried to Unscramble one of your files and it
is still unreadable. Chances are, if this has occurred, you
were using a Pass Word to Unscrable your file and it happened
to be an incorrect Pass Word.
If you are not the individual, who originally Scrambled this
file, these instructions will not be of help to you because to
correct this problem, you have to know the correct Pass Word.
If this happens to be the case, you have certainly created a
serious problem for the individual, who this file belongs to.
If you have only tried to Unscramble this file one time, you
are in luck. If this is the situation, please be kind enough
to restore this individuals file back to where it was before
you tampered with it. If you have tried two, or more times to
Unscramble the file, then you need to inform the concerned in-
dividual as to what has happened. It may be embarrassing, but
you owe at least this much, to this person.
NOTE: If you did not use a Pass Word while trying to Unscram-
ble this file, just Unscramble it one more time (without
using a Pass Word) to restore this file to its original
state.
THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR ANY INDIVIDUAL
WHO ATTEMPTED TO UNSCRABLE A FILE ONE TIME AND FAILED
BECAUSE THEY USED THE WRONG PASS WORD
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
1. After reading these instructions, return to the DOS Prompt.
2. Give this command: TYPE LAST-COM.UNS
3. The Path, File Name, and Pass Word that you used will be
displayed on the screen. Write this down and double check
that you didn't make any mistakes.
4. Restart The Scrambler - Give this command: SCRAMBLE
5. Select Unscramble - Option B of Main Menu
6. Enter the Path, File Name, and Pass Word that you wrote
down from the screen display.
7. Unscramble this file - The file is now in its original state.
If you have the correct Pass Word, you will now be able to Un-
scramble this file..... just by doing so.
